It was a month full of fierce competition, shocking upsets, and exciting action as some of the best StarCraft II players in the world went head-to-head during the GSL’s TG-Intel StarCraft II Open Season1 tournament. This past weekend, the competition came to a thrilling conclusion.

We’d like to congratulate Won-Ki Kim (AKA FruitDealer) as the first-ever tournament champion of the GSL! He displayed incredible skill and innovative strategies as he commanded his zerg armies all the way to the top against a field of extremely talented players, finally besting his terran opponent, Sung-Je Kim (AKA HopeTorture).
