It appears that starcraft2 will be released in 3 separate campaigns each with its own chapter. The single player campaign will have its own main heroes; Ranyor, Kerrigan, and Zeratul.

Terran: Wings of Liberty
Zerg: Heart of the Swarm
Protoss: Legacy of the Void

Rumor has it that each game chapter will have 25+ hours of gameplay and will contain its own unique endings. All the mulitplayers will be released in the first batch and the next chapters will be offered and sold as expansion packs.

What in the hell..why divide the shit into 3 when you can just put it on multiple disks in one box. In the end its just a fricken waste of money that you have to buy all 3 to know the story. Blizzard is banking on the hype and ripping it off, those son of a bitches.

Somehow i agree with you guys, if they plan to release the campaigns separately - then i guess that each "part" must have some Extras..

I'm sure that they'll provide all types of selling packages - separately and complete.. Amusing fans is not what they really need now after all this waiting..

The value of the name brand is high, so they will of course raise prices... They could just have easily released it as one package and charged 60-70 bucks for it...(I remember when WoW came out, i bought it at a store for 60 bucks and a special edition for 80. Charging big bucks for highly anticipated games is nothing new for Blizzard). If they did that, you probably wouldnt think twice about it.

On a side note, maybe to allure MORE customers, they will split it up into several smaller priced chunks. Maybe they are releasing campaigns piece by piece to get the product out sooner, before they lose the hype. Who knows?

Dividing one game into 3 is going to be a tough sell especially in this economy, plus I hate the suspense of finish a game and waiting several month to find out what happens next.

Personally Im just gonna get the game for the multi player and leave all the story line and cinematics to wikipedia and youtube if I wanna find out whats going on in the story. Just buy one game for bnet purpose thats it...unless they do something like Brood War where you have to get the expo cus all of your friends have the expos and you end up playing reg SC on your own.

That's what I'm doing. I have the money, I don't need my parent's money to buy this but I'm not wasting over $100 just for some storyline. Now if lower, that may vary. My main point of Starcraft 2 is the units and the upgrades. I wasn't striving for the story.
